Ottu pathal is one of the fantastic dish from north Malabar (Kadathanaadu) side in Kerala. This ottu pathal is made of pure rice. Ottu pathal is called so because it is made on a utensil called kallodu. Its is also called as ottu pathil and ottu pathiri. People used to call ottu pathil as Tyre pathil as it look like tyre. Ottu pathal is not so hard as it look like in the picture. Best combination is beef curry. Tyre pathil is even tasty with chicken curry, egg curry, fish curry, and so on and so forth.
